Good to know before whitening
- Whitening works on natural teeth. Fillings, crowns and veneers keep their colour.
- Some teeth (for example after a root canal, or with certain deep stains) respond less well.
- Sensitivity for a day or two afterwards is common and passes.
- Scaling and polishing first often makes a big difference on its own.
Keeping the result
Cut down on tea, coffee, paan and smoking, brush twice a day, and come for scaling and polishing regularly. Whitening is not permanent: many people top it up after some time.

Questions patients ask
Is teeth whitening safe?
Whitening done by a dentist, on healthy teeth, is safe. That is why we check your teeth first and protect your gums during treatment.
How long does whitening last?
It depends on your habits. Tea, coffee, paan and smoking bring stains back sooner.
Will my fillings or crowns whiten too?
No. Fillings, crowns and veneers keep their colour, so they may need replacing to match your newly whitened teeth.
How much does it cost?
You get the cost at your free checkup, after we have checked that whitening suits your teeth.
